Appraisals Sign-Off Settings Redesign
We’ve redesigned the sign-off settings in Appraisal templates to make them clearer and easier to configure.
Why this Matters
Previously, the details of each sign-off setting were buried in help text, which meant lots of reading and room for misunderstanding. With the redesign, options are now presented visually with toggles — making it simpler to choose the right configuration and reducing the risk of applying the wrong setting.
Key Benefits
- Clarity: Sign-off settings are now easier to understand at a glance.
- Confidence: Users can set up Appraisals knowing the right options are applied.
- Fewer issues: Clearer settings mean fewer errors and less need for support.
Update 'Additional Learning' to 'Explore Learning'
We’ve updated the term ‘Additional Learning’ to ‘Explore Learning’ across Flow MS. Since this area is already called Explore Learning in Mapal One, the change brings both products into alignment.
Why this Matters
Using the same name across both products makes it easier for managers to know exactly where to create and manage Explore Learning items, without second-guessing whether they’re in the right place.
Key Benefits
- Aligned language: Flow now matches the terminology already used in Mapal One.
- Less guesswork: Managers can quickly find and set up Explore Learning items.
- Smoother experience: Clear, consistent naming supports easier navigation and training.
Modules Deactivated in Collections
We’ve updated how deactivated modules behave in Collections. When a module is deactivated, it’s now automatically removed from any Collection it was part of, so learners only see the modules they need to complete.
Why this Matters
Previously, deactivated modules still appeared in active Collections, which meant learners could be asked to complete content that was no longer available. With this update, Collections are always clear and accurate, making it easier for learners to complete them and reducing admin work for managers.
Key Benefits
- Accurate progress: Learners only see modules that are available to complete.
- Time saved: No need to manually edit Collections before deactivating a module.
- Clearer experience: Collections are simpler and more intuitive for both learners and managers.
Bug fixes
- Workbooks in Training Structures and Automated Refreshers
- Where a Workbook had an automated refresher rule set on it and was also included in Training Structures, it was not being issued as part of the refresher. We’ve now resolved this and Workbooks are issued as expected.
- TM Page user counts
- The Training Manager page in Flow MS was showing incorrect totals by including both active and inactive managers in the user count and pagination. We’ve fixed this so the correct counts are now shown.
- TMs with no permissions accessing Assign Learning
- Training Managers with no permissions could still see and access Assign Learning, which caused the page to crash. We’ve fixed this so the option is now hidden for TMs without permissions.
