Flow Learning Compliance Update

We’re always reviewing our content to offer tips on industry best-practice and that it’s aligned with changes in legislation. So, we’ve identified some amends to our core compliance content and we’re almost ready to upload the new versions.

It’s the first time we’ve updated our core content since launching our new next generation content last year, and we wanted to give you the heads-up. From now on, however, we’ll be doing it on a quarterly basis.

Here’s a list of resources and the regional versions that will be updated:
  • First Aid Awareness: UK, EU, ROI, and US
  • First Aid Awareness for QSR: ROI and US only
  • Food Safety Level 1: UK, EU, ROI and US
  • Food Safety Level 2: UK, EU, ROI and US
  • Health and Safety Level 1: UK, EU, ROI and US
  • Health and Safety Level 1 for QSR: UK, EU, ROI and US
  • Health and Safety Level 2: UK, EU, ROI and US
  • Health and Safety Level 2 for QSR: UK and EU only
  • Food Allergens: UK, EU, ROI and US
  • Food Allergens for QSR: UK, EU, ROI and US
  • Disability Awareness: US only

*All translated versions of our EU Generic localisations will be amended and switched out in a future release. We will communicate this separately.

How will it work?

We will be switching the courses in our core content library to the new versions in November. This will be done globally so you won’t need to do anything in Mapal One.

Once we’ve done this, all new learners will automatically see the new updated version. Any learners marked as ”in progress” before the switch date will continue to see the older version of the course, unless their progress is reset.

Will this influence my compliance status?

No, both the current versions and the newly amended versions are in line with all current legislation. Our amends are more in line with best practice advice, and you can see them in the list below. If you’d like more information, please contact your Customer Success Manager (CSM).

What if I have a scorm only or custom branded package?

If you have a scorm only or custom branded package that includes one of the listed core resources, your Customer Success Manager will contact you directly with an individualised timeline for updating and switching your versions.

We’ll perform these updates automatically, but please inform your CSM by Friday 21 October if you don’t want them applied to your versions. Bear in mind that if you choose not to apply the updates the relevant endorsements may be affected.

If we don’t hear from you by this date, we’ll update according to the timeline communicated.

Update to licensing content

The following licensing courses for teams have been updated with a new look and feel, and with a fresh, narrative approach.

  • Licensing England and Wales
  • Licensing Scotland
  • Responsible Service of Alcohol (ROI)

The course defines the responsibilities involved in serving alcohol and enables them to practise applying the correct checks on its sale and consumption while also managing conflictive behaviour.

We’ve reviewed each module so that they’re up to date with legislation and optimised them to be more relevant to each region.
