Jorge Lurueña

Group Chief Executive Officer

Jorge began his career in mergers and acquisitions at Merril Lynch Boston, SBC Warburg and Alpha Corporate. He moved into the hospitality industry in 2002 as CEO of Lurca, Spain's second-largest Burger King franchise, and later founded Grupo Montalur, the country's largest franchisee of 100 Montaditos, in 2004. 

 

After founding MAPAL in 2007, today Jorge focuses on modelling the company's culture, values and behaviour. He also defines the product vision, global strategy and the direction of the company – as well as building a great team to help him achieve it. 

When dining out: Barbecued steak

Rik Esselink

Chief Revenue Officer

Rik started his career in sales and marketing, followed by product and corp dev roles at Silicon Valley tech companies. After that he went to Europe to set up and build several US-based tech companies, including Ring (exit to Amazon). He also led growth businesses at larger companies, including P&G, Philips, Amazon and served as CRO at jobs marketplace Zenjob. A Harvard Physics graduate and Stanford MBA, Rik enjoys architecting revenue growth for fast scaling tech companies. 

At MAPAL, Rik oversees the Sales, Marketing, and Customer Support / Operations teams, and works to set the GTM strategy and ensure scalable growth.  

When dining out: All Asian cuisines, especially Japanese and Korean

Daniel Brandi

Group Chief Technology Officer

Daniel is a C-level professional with hands-on experience in development, architecture, security, and infrastructure. Daniel has experience in design and deploying large, high availability and scalability production cloud-based systems.  

 

With previous experience as a bank CIO, Daniel has acted as a CTO for a number of high growth startups since 2007, he has built and managed several successful agile teams of developers, DevOps, data architects, security architects, and testers, including internationally distributed teams.  

Daniel combines technical and business skills, always striving to achieve business objectives with the best possible technical solution.  

When dining out: Rare ribeye steak with potatoes and peppers

Maite Cuadra

Group Chief People Officer

Maite has a rich blend of experience in human resources and technology, having performed different roles in talent attraction management, HR business partnerships, and HR Director. 

 

At MAPAL, Maite's goal is to lead the talent and culture strategy for the entire group with a business partner approach, and a focus on employee experience.

Daniel Contreras

Group Chief Financial Officer

After spending seven years as a Professional Accountant at KPMG in Madrid and London, Daniel then moved on to become CFO for Southern Europe at Bax Global for the next 14 years. He spent the next 12 years between Madrid and Toronto as CFO in financial data and analytics at Equifax. 

 

Daniel joined MAPAL in 2018 and oversees all financial reporting, business budgeting and forecasting, and all cash management related areas. 

When dining out: Local food, wherever he may be.

Favourite drink: Beer or wine, or the occasional Scotch whisky

Carlos Gamallo

Group Chief Sales Officer

Passionate about how technology can reshape and improve society, Carlos has worked in the industry since the beginning. He started his career at Lucent Technology (now Nokia) and Nortel networks. He founded his own tech company in 2003 and sold it in 2008, when he joined the Madrid government's global IT agency as telecommunications manager. 

 

Carlos joined Mapal in 2014 when the team will still only five-strong. Today he is responsible for scaling MAPAL in strategic international markets and positioning our product in line with our business objectives. 

When dining out: Asian street food

Simon Faughnan

Global Chief Product Officer

A former developer, Simon has also worked as a SCRUM master and product owner in the financial services and hospitality industries. His extensive technical experience gives him an excellent understanding of system design across the whole software development lifecycle. 

 

Simon enjoys delivering new solutions as well as extending existing requirements, and is responsible for all product-related areas at Flow. And for supplying the biscuits, of course. 

When dining out: Steak, curry or Mexican food

François Langrand

Group Chief Customer Officer

François has been working in the SaaS industry for the last 22 years. He has managed operations and product teams for European startups, scaling from 10 to hundreds of employees across Europe. Customer focused & data-driven, François is also the co-founder of Commanders Act, a European Customer Data Plateform. He leads the customer teams at MAPAL, creating the best experience to all our customers. 

 

When dining out: Italian food

Mandy Kempenich

James McLuckie

Group Chief Learning Officer

James has been involved with learning for over 16 years and has worked with organisations such as Google, Heineken, and the Virgin group. He is a Fellow of the Learning and Performance Institute, a current judge chair for the Learning Technologies Awards, and a former Board member of the eLearning network. 

 

He is proud to lead the team that creates our learning resources and direct the Flow's content strategy. 

When dining out: Italian food

Emmanuel Grelaud

Co-founder of Easilys, Director - France

An Information technology engineer, Emmanuel started his career in a POS editor solution as a developer. He then went on to manage information system projects for large companies and took the role of CIO of Compass Group France and the CMA CGM Group. Along with his two brothers, he founded Easilys in 2014 to develop a procurement and management solution for food service companies. Six years later, Easilys is now used in 5000 restaurants in six countries, generating a turnover of 500 M€.

 

Emmanuel joined Mapal in 2021 and is in charge of sales development in France, and food cost management solutions for the Group.

When dining out: Cheese and preferably French ones

Favourite drink: Single Malt Islay island Whisky  

Peder Lindencrona

Co-founder of Compliance, Director - Nordics

Peder is a computer science engineer. He got his first computer when he was 15 years old and has been working with software ever since. After working in finance and retail software companies, he co-founded GetCompliant in 2011 to develop an easy-to-use mobile tool for the “floor workers” in hospitality and retail. GetCompliant is now used in more than 3000 sites in numerous successful Nordic, Baltic, and German multi-site businesses.

 

Peder joined Mapal in 2021 and oversees the Nordic office as well as the operational and compliance solution for the group.

When dining out: Seafood and a good Bourgogne

Sergio Alvarez

Director of Customer Success, Iberia

Sérgio foi educado como economista e também detém certificados PMP, ITIL e SCRUM. Trabalhou como gestor de projetos e consultor em várias empresas ao longo da sua carreira, incluindo a KPMG, especializada em projetos de gestão de recursos humanos, onde geriu processos de cálculo de folha de pagamento para mais de 200.000 colaboradores. Sérgio ingressou no departamento de sucesso de clientes da MAPAL em 2016, onde tem contribuído muito para o nosso crescimento no mercado espanhol.

Lidera agora a equipa de sucesso do cliente para a Ibéria com o objetivo de ajudar os clientes a melhorar os seus resultados de negócio através da utilização da nossa tecnologia.

Ao jantar fora: comida japonesa, especialmente sushi ou sashimi, bem como comida indiana.

Nicolas Charlot

Global Director of Customer Support

Formado em Engenharía Agrícola, Nicolas começou a sua carreira numa startup no setor de FoodTech como gestor de operações onde descobriu a sua paixão pela gestão, serviços ao cliente e indústria hoteleira. Era natural que a sua próxima mudança de carreira fosse para a Easilys, onde foi gestor de projectos de restauração durante 2 anos antes de assumir a responsabilidade pelo Customer Support do grupo MAPAL. A sua missão aqui é garantir um serviço ao cliente impecável, zelando pelo bem-estar e desenvolvimento pessoal de cada membro da sua equipa.

Hayley Kyle

Director of Customer Success, UK

Hayley está com a Flow desde 2009 e tem crescido com a empresa, garantindo um apoio de primeira classe aos nossos clientes a cada etapa do caminho. 

Hayley lidera agora a equipa de sucesso do cliente com o objetivo de os ajudar a garantir que obtêm o melhor dos nossos produtos.

Remi Mathurin

Rémi juntou-se à MAPAL como Diretor de Sucesso do Cliente para a França em 2020, tendo trabalhado como consultor de RH especializado em gestão de recursos humanos e apoio ao cliente nos últimos oito anos.

Stuart é um especialista em formação na área da restauração, teve e liderou já várias empresas, incluindo CPL Training and Training SP. Foi nomeado o Training Information Center Business Hero 202 pela APPE Ltd.

Juan Carlos Jiménez Calzado

Business Development Director, Iberia/LATAM

Juan Carlos é um executivo talentoso com experiência nacional e internacional em vendas, distribuição e marketing de produtos multicanais para startups e grandes organizações. Tem um histórico comprovado de identificação de novos mercados e posicionamento estratégico para pontos de venda e software no setor de restaurantes. 

Hoje, Juan Carlos lidera a equipa de vendas da Mapal em Espanha, Portugal e o canal de parceiros LATAM.

Elly Johnston

Business Development Director, UK/MENA

Elly começou a lavar pratos e desempenhou todas as funções possíveis no setor hoteleiro nos últimos 20 anos. Ela ainda pensa que é melhor empregada de mesa do que diretora de vendas! Elly chefiou o departamento de marketing da Montpelier's, empresa de bares / restaurantes com vários serviços sediada em Edimburgo, e trabalhou como consultora de desenvolvimento de negócios no setor de hotéis e restaurantes. 

Entrou na Flow (agora Mapal) em 2009, e lidera agora todos os novos negócios para os nossos produtos no Reino Unido, Irlanda e Emirados Árabes Unidos.
