INFORMATION ON THE USE OF COOKIES
What are cookies?
Cookies are small data files that are received on the terminal from the visited website and are used to record certain browsing interactions on a website by storing data that may be updated and retrieved. These files are stored on the user’s computer and contain anonymous data that are not harmful to their device. They are used to remember the user’s preferences, such as the selected language, login details, or page customization.
Cookies may also be used to record anonymous information about how a visitor uses a site. For example, from which web page they arrived, or whether they used an advertising “banner” to get there.
How do we use the different types of cookies?
By purpose:
| Technical cookies | Technical cookies are those that facilitate user browsing and the use of the different options or services offered by the website, such as identifying the session, allowing access to certain areas, facilitating orders, purchases, form completion, registrations, security, and enabling functionalities (videos, social networks…). |
| Personalization cookies | Personalization cookies allow the user to access services according to their preferences (language, browser, settings…). |
| Analytical cookies | Analytics cookies are used to carry out anonymous analysis of website users’ behavior and make it possible to measure user activity and create browsing profiles with the objective of improving websites. |
| Advertising cookies | Advertising cookies allow the management of advertising spaces on the website. In addition, these cookies may be personalized advertising cookies and thus allow the management of advertising spaces on the website based on the user’s behavior and browsing habits, from which their profile is obtained, and allow the advertising shown in the user’s browser or in other user profiles and social networks to be personalized. |
By duration:
| Session cookies | Session cookies are those that last for as long as the user is browsing the website and are deleted when the browser is closed. |
| Persistent cookies | These cookies remain stored on the user’s terminal until they are manually deleted or until the duration period established for that cookie has ended. |
By ownership:
| First-party cookies | These are cookies sent to the user’s terminal equipment from a device or domain managed by the publisher itself and from which the service requested by the user is provided. |
| Third-party cookies | These are cookies sent to the user’s terminal equipment from a device or domain that is not managed by the publisher, but by another entity that processes the data obtained through the cookies. |
