New Features
Images on Recognitions
We now have implemented the ability to include images with Recognitions. The user can now upload up to 10 images to their recognition as supporting evidence for it.
Why this Matters
Recognition is most impactful when it feels personal and memorable. Images add context, emotion, and authenticity. By allowing colleagues to include supporting images, recognition becomes more engaging.
Benefits
- Stronger emotional impact: Visuals amplify the feeling behind recognition, making it more heartfelt and memorable.
- Increased visibility: Photos naturally draw attention in a feed or dashboard, ensuring recognition gets noticed and celebrated.
- Added context: An image can show exactly what someone achieved (e.g., event moment, or customer interaction), giving recognition more depth.
Improvements
Login Page Restructure
We have made an update to the login page to sign post more clearly the path of logging in via OS. There will be 2 buttons – the top button directing OS users to login via OS using either email and pass or SSO, and then bottom button will reveal the original email pass fields for non-OS users.
Why this Matters
We need to change the prominence of the login paths, so that OS users are logging in via the OS login. For example if AI is enabled for a company and the user doesn’t log in via the OS login, then they won’t see the AI feature as it is OS functionality.
Benefits
- Full functionality: This will ensure users have the full functionality that they should have for their profile and company.
Appraisals – Awaiting Reviewer Sign Off
We have made an update on the Appraisals cards to include a new status of ‘Awaiting reviewer sign off’.
Why this Matters
This matters because employees will be able to tell more easily if an item is still requiring their attention or if should check in with their manager.
Benefits
- Instant clarity – Employees can see at a glance from the card if their appraisal needs input from their manager.
Update to Angular 19
In this sprint we completed an update to Angular 19.
Why this Matters
Upgrading to Angular 19 ensures the application stays modern, secure, and scalable. It positions the platform to take advantage of the latest performance optimisations, developer tools, and long-term support, reducing technical debt and keeping the product future-ready.
Benefits
- Reduced technical debt: Avoids issues from outdated dependencies and makes future upgrades simpler.
- Future readiness: Compatibility with the latest ecosystem libraries and Angular features ensures long-term maintainability.
Bug fixes
- Unlinked Learners Logging in to M1 — It was identified that unlinked learners were logging in and no content would load. If the user has an unlinked learner they will now be directed to the 'Sign out or contact your manager' page.
- Users accessing Mapal One without Mapal One product enabled — Similar to the above issue, we expected that users without the Mapal One product enabled should be shown the 'Sign out or contact your manager' page. This wasn't happening, however we have now resolved this.
